Action Hero: Rama
The Plot: Gareth Evans somehow managed to eclipse his last film with a follow up story about Rama’s (Iko Uwais) murky journey into the world of gang warfare and police corruption. Expanding the plot, characters and action into a sprawling Indonesian crime saga, Evans sucker-punched the genre again.
Most Action-Packed Set-Piece: An hour in, you’d think it was the prison fight. Two hours in, you’d pick the car chase. But until you’ve seen the last half an hour--you haven’t seen anything.
