The Plot: J.J. Abrams’ first film as director is the best in the M:I series--with Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt called out of retirement to tackle Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s ruthless arms dealer.
Most Action-Packed Set-Piece: It’s pretty easy to see why Abram’s was given the Star Trek (and Star Wars) gig when you watch the perfectly staged bridge scene in M:I III--Hunt (Cruise) dodging bullets, rockets and jet planes whilst the whole of Chesapeake Bay crumbles around him.
